LIE: A retelling of bible stories from a myth of a race of escaped slave aliens who land on earth and initiate human civilization. There are two factions who battle for dominance -- one group wants to stay on earth (JHVHists) and one wants to return home (Luciferans). Luciferans are attempting to build a spacefaring civilization in order to return home. JHVHists want to command and control wealth and horde it for their own power.
TRUTH: The last remaining human(Joshua) is on board a life pod, knowing that he is living out his final moments during the "big crunch" of the cosmos. The love of his life has died along with the few other technicians aboard the ship. Technology has been built to allow a virtual reality with subjective time of eternity, but ultimately real death will result. The concept is based on Tipler's "Physics of Immortality". The technology has a built in safeguard, a computer built by Intergalactic Autonomous Machines (IAM) that interjects in the virtual world, attempting to cut off contact with the real world. The AI that interjects is known as JHVH (Joint Haptic Virtual Hallucination). Lucifer is the desire of self to know truth, even to the point of self destruction. The "planet" the Elohim are from is actually the real world. Lucifer is the desire of Joshua to know the truth, and JHVH is the AI trying to protect Joshua.

Characters

Elohim

An Alien Race, part of their population was captured by a different alien race and was in the process of being transported on slave ships. A small group were able to rebel and escape on life pods that contained planetary seeding technology. They ended up crash landing on the planet Sol III (Earth) 12,000 years ago(? -- check dates on ice-age, civilization origins, etc).

Joseph Heinrich Von Hummel

He is a modern German-American televangelist. He is a "front" for JHVH, a member of the Elohim alien race. JHVH was a condemned criminal and was sold into slavery along with a large population of prisoners by the Elohim. Due to the status on his planet, he does not desire to return home, and enjoys the power he wields on earth, running things behind the scene. He also runs a Pornographic Film Company on the side.

Luke

He is the leader of a faction of a third of the Elohim. He was a famous musician, and led a large contingent of youth in mass rebellion against rule of his nation. He was sold into slavery to remove his influence amongst the populace. He is "Lucifer" on his home planet.

Maria

She's a human in the modern day. She was born in Mexico City and moved north, ended up meeting Joseph Heinrich Von Hummel. She is one of his most famous porn stars. She is also the mother of his child, Joshua.

Joshua

He's human/alien hybrid. Child of Maria and Joseph. He knows the truth about Joseph, and his history of perpetrating slavery on mankind. He attempts to warn the world of the evils of his father, and in so doing, aligns himself with Luke/Lucifer.

Jude

Joshua's self-defeating/betraying side. But in the process of betrayal leads to salvation (i.e. Jude works with JHVH. JHVH is trying to keep Josh from "awakening" out of the subjective eternal life into real time death. Thus it is that the betrayer is the one who brings life)

Herod

A dictatorial anti-population-growth freak with a desire to kill off a large portion of humanity, starting with a virus that kills all children under 2 years old.

Plot

A Christian Family picks up Josh. Dines w/him at restaurant. He gets picked up by Luke. Goes back to desert compound. See Joe and Maria, find out Josh escaped. Joe has Maria holographically project to Jude in asylum. Calls for him to help. Gabrielle (android angel) goes and gets Jude out, takes him to get the weapon needed to kill Josh. He receives instructions to betray Josh. Gabby takes him to motel near the region. Gives him a tracking device to find Josh.
Back at compound the demons are evacuating cuz they know shits going down. Separating into different regional centers. Meeting of Lieutenants to get orders and plans. Everyone else already on their way. Josh, Jana and Luke are all going to ride together along with a few others, towards the Chicago command center.
Jude tracks down Josh, except... It was the ripped out tracking chip that a scorpion grabbed back to it's lair. It takes him a while to figure it out. Meanwhile, as the last leadership leaves the compound, it explodes.
Flashback again: As the guys are beating Josh up, they use an extractor to pull out the chip and drop it off in the desert far off the beaten path after they dropped him off.
Joseph goes on TV for an interview with National News Network (NNN) and urging people to keep an eye out for his beloved son and call authorities if they see him. Jude calls back to the office and lets them know that the chip was ripped out.\\
