RainbowCapture Rainbow Capture (PRISM)The goal is to build a rainbow bridge from the cell nearest the player to the center of the board to capture the pot of gold. 2-4 players The player is represented by a triangular "prism" that contains the gems. The Board is a circular grid (like a dartboard, kinda). There is a center circle with a pot of gold drawn in. There are 20 spokes/sections, each quarter of the board contains 5 of these sections. There are 8 concentric circles beyond that. 1 of these 5 spokes/sections (North, East, South and West on the board) is a "bridge" for each player. For each player there is a set of 8 colored beads: White, Red, Orange, Yellow, Blue, Green, Indigo, Purple. There is a 16 sided die and an 8 sided die. Players draw a color, in order (WROYGBIV) from the gem piles. They then roll the die to get a random placement on the board to place the gem. Once all gems have been player for each player (8 x Number of players) Player place their prism at the outermost cell in their rainbow-bridge (the cell closest to them). They roll the 8 sided die to determine how many cells they may move. They may move around the current circle, or towards the center. They may not move diagonally. If they land on a gem, they must "capture" it and place it in the prism. As they play, they can stack the gems into their prism, and either return them right away or wait until the end. If they land on an empty space, they can deposit a piece if they so desire. If the prism is filled, they must deposit a piece onto an empty when they can, otherwise, they can no longer pick up pieces. |
